Overnight Backpack Trip. Tom Dodson, American River Conservancy volunteer, is set to lead this exploration of the Granite Chief Wilderness/Picayune Valley. It starts at Talbot Creek with camping at the upper end of the valley. Water shoes are needed; this is suitable for those 12 and over with backpacking experience. The event goes from approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
