CLARKSBURG, CA (MPG) - Sacramento County crews will perform deck maintenance on the Sutter Slough Bridge on South River Road, approximately eight miles south of Clarksburg. The bridge is located on the Yolo-Sacramento county line. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 27, through Saturday, Aug. 1, weather permitting.
The road will remain open during construction, but travelers should expect intermittent lane closures in both directions and travel delays. Flaggers and signs will guide traffic through the work area. Access to nearby properties and businesses will be maintained, and the road will fully reopen to traffic each evening.
Wide agricultural vehicles and equipment should use alternate routes via the Walnut Grove Bridge or Freeport Bridge because the work area will be too narrow for safe passage. South River Road becomes Sutter Slough Bridge Road south of the bridge.
The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and work progress.
Yolo County asks travelers to slow down, remain alert, follow posted signs and flagger instructions, and use care around workers and construction equipment.
