The project will create a 1.8‑mile light‑rail connection between West Sacramento and downtown Sacramento, enhancing regional mobility and strengthening transit access to major destinations.
The new streetcar line will link Sutter Health Park to Sacramento Valley Station, providing seamless connections to Amtrak, Capitol Corridor, San Joaquins and SacRT’s bus and light rail network. It will also serve as a key catalyst for development in the Sacramento Railyards, one of the largest infill development sites in the nation.
