Pumpkins at the Patch

In West Sacramento, Dave’s Pumpkin Patch opened on Sept. 20 and is located at 3010 Burrows Ave. The patch is an establishment of Vierra Farms, according to the farm’s website at www.vierrafarms.com.


YOLO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - As the fall season sets in, pumpkin patches begin to open in Yolo County with locations in West Sacramento, Woodland and Davis, offering attractions, food and entertainment for all ages. 

In West Sacramento, Dave’s Pumpkin Patch opened on Sept. 20 and is located at 3010 Burrows Avenue. The patch is an establishment of Vierra Farms, according to the farm’s website. Events are marked on the website’s “Calendar of Events” tab through Oct. 31. Events include live music, a corn maze, movie nights, “Boots and Brews” and “Farm to Fork Friday Night Dinners.” 

On Oct. 17, Dave’s Pumpkin Patch is scheduled to have a “Kings Night” featuring Slamson and the Sacramento Kings to celebrate the King’s season, according to the pumpkin patch’s website. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and kids wearing Kings gear will receive a free mini pumpkin. Bobby Dazzler’s Pumpkin Patch in Woodland, located at 23300 County Road 99D, also opened for pumpkin season on Sept. 20 with free admission, free parking and a free play zone. Dazzler Farms features locally-grown pumpkins, with some grown on site and others trucked in from other local fields. 

The site consists of eight different attractions, including a hay maze, corn bath, bounce house, bungee jump, cow train, face painting and petting zoo. Attractions outside of the play zone require tickets that can be purchased online or in person at the ticket booth. 

Ticket purchases do not guarantee admission to attractions, according to the website. Attraction tickets are limited and attractions may be canceled at any time due to weather as a safety precaution. To learn more about Dazzler Farms, visit https://www.dazzlerfarms.com/patch

Slated to open in October is Impossible Acres, located at 37945 County Road. 31 in Davis. According to the organization’s website, events are scheduled at Incredible Acres from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. 

Impossible Acres features an Animal Barn with $7 admission for children aged one to 12 years, including free admission for one adult. Admission to the Animal Barn for ages 13 and up is $4 and the establishment accepts cash by $20 denominations or below in addition to tap-to-pay.
