WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - The City of Dharma Realm Buddhist Temple held its annual Veggie Fair event, located at the historic former El Rancho Hotel, from 11 a.m. to noon July 20.  

Attendees enjoyed a variety of attractive and tasty vegetarian cuisines, with many created by the Temple nuns.  

Entertainment included violin and piano performances.  This was a family-friendly event. Children were especially welcome and a City of West Sacramento fire truck was there for residents to view and explore, with an opportunity to meet and greet the local firefighters.

Dress was casual and attendees were prepared for Sacramento's typical summer heat.

The Dharma Realm Veggie Fair was first hosted in July 2007 and past events have offered up to 50 different vegetarian dishes for tasting.  

The Dharma Realm Temple leadership and nuns are all vegan enthusiasts and plan to open a-public Vegan Restaurant on the Temple grounds in the future.

The Dharma Realm Temple hoped that the Veggie Fair guests enjoyed eating healthy, joining them in living kindly and in supporting world peace.
