General Election Update – Nomination Period Extended

WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - The nomination period for the following offices on the ballot for the Nov. 5, General Election has been extended until 5 p.m. Aug. 14. This extension is only applicable to candidates other than the incumbent.


Nomination is still open for the following offices:

Member, Yolo County Board of Education, Trustee Area 3

Governing Board Member, Colusa County Board of Education, Trustee Area 1

Governing Board Member, Solano Community College District, Trustee Area 7

Governing Board Member, Yuba Community College District, Trustee Area 6

Governing Board Member, Washington Unified School District, Trustee Area 2

Governing Board Member, Washington Unified School District, Trustee Area 3

Governing Board Member, Woodland Joint Unified School District, Trustee Area 6 Short Term

Member, City Council, City of Davis , District 2

Member, City Council, City of Woodland, District 4

Director, Colusa County Water District, At-Large


If you wish to run for any of these offices, complete your nomination paperwork at the appropriate office, by 5 p.m. on Aug. 14, 2024. Interested parties for city offices can obtain and file their nomination papers with the respective City Clerk. Interested parties for non-city offices can schedule an appointment online using the scheduling system: https://yolocountyace.as.me/schedule.php or by calling the Yolo County Elections Office at 530-666-8133.
