WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - Discussing death is complex, and the Yolo County Commission on Aging and Adult Services wants to help residents have the talk.
The Aging Caregivers Task Force for intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID-DD) has been touring Yolo County, hosting a town hall series to help primary caregivers of adult children with disabilities prepare for an independent future.
Yolo County Deputy Supervisor Sheila Allen said housing and transportation are two critical topics being addressed.
"Because of the work of this commission, we have started to work together to identify joint projects we already have on the books that they're going to be building in Woodland and West Sacramento," Allen said.
A virtual meeting via Zoom is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Residents can register for the meeting at https://bit.ly/44mPTuS.
The in-person meeting and virtual Zoom town hall meeting will have American Sign Language and Spanish interpretation available.
