County Of Yolo Welcomes New Public Information Officer

WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - Yolo County’s Chief Administrative Officer Gerardo Pinedo has announced the appointment of Dwight Coddington as the county’s new Public Information Officer (PIO). In his new role, Mr. Coddington will be responsible for managing Yolo County’s overall communications strategy and promoting the work of Yolo County.
“Dwight brings a wealth of experience to this important liaison position,” said Yolo County Chief Administrative Officer Gerardo Pinedo. “Not only does he have extensive experience leading communications efforts, Dwight looks forward to settling down in Yolo County for years to come. We are excited to have him lead the crucial work of developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for the County.”
Following an extensive recruitment effort, Dwight Coddington was selected from a competitive pool of applicants. Dwight is passionate about rural health advocacy and previously worked as a PIO in the public sector. After attending the University of Montana and Montana State University, Dwight worked in competitive technical sales and marketing positions in the Bay Area. Dwight enjoys Yolo County’s bucolic and neighborly charm while having the convenience of urban amenities and diverse cultural experiences.
Dwight is proud of the fact he worked on an assembly line and roofed while in high school. While in college, he merited entrance into master classes taught by a presidential campaign manager and a former secretary of state, before he began assisting local leaders in achieving their political aspirations in both the Bay Area and Montana. He has consulted and advised campaigns across varying audiences and backgrounds. Additionally, Dwight is passionate about his work with local nonprofits which provide fulfillment and dignity to individuals on the autism spectrum. He is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and contributes his time to multiple nonprofits.
