GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - At its first meeting of the month, Gridley VFW Post 5731 got a nice surprise from the organizers of the first inaugural Gridley Truck Show.

After a massive effort to organize and host the first Gridley Truck Show, the men and women behind the event tallied proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets, door entrance fees and more to prepare a substantial donation to the Gridley VFW.

The driving force behind the conception of the event, Diego Ramos, along with Cheryl and Tom Simpson, met to present a check in the amount of $3050 to our local VFW post.

On behalf of the group, Commander of the VFW, Ed Kawasaki shared their appreciation for the donation and work to support local veterans.
