Felony Charges Filed Against Woodland Man After Police Stand-Off

WOODLAND, CA (MPG) - On January 30, 2024, 39-year-old Jeffrey Wendell Card, a resident of Woodland, was arrested after a brief police pursuit and hours-long stand-off that required nearby schools and residents to go on lockdown.  The Yolo County District Attorney has filed several felony charges including Theft or Unauthorized use of Vehicle; Evading a Peace Officer with Reckless Driving; Possession of Firearm by Person Previously Convicted of a Felony; Possession of Ammunition by Person Prohibited from Owning or Possessing a Firearm; Resisting Executive Officer by Means of Threats, Force or Violence; and case enhancements alleging his prior felony convictions; that the crimes were committed while released on bail or recognizance; that he was armed during the commission of the crime; and for his prior prison terms.  

Card was to be arraigned on the charges on February 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., in Dept. 1 of the Yolo County Superior Court.
