The West Sacramento Friends of the Library are holding their annual meeting on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. Please join them to see what is in store for the coming year. The event will be at the Turner Library, located at 1212 Merkley Ave., West Sacramento.

See’s Candy Sales

From November 20th to December 23rd, 2023, the Moose will be selling See’s Candy every day except December 17. The West Sacramento Moose Lodge is located at 3240 Jefferson Blvd. You can place orders every day from 1-6 p.m. Orders that total $35.00 and over will be delivered. If you have any questions, please call 916-371-9684 or 916-440-3790. The Kiwanis of West Sacramento has done this in past years, but since they closed the Moose has taken over this West Sac holiday tradition.

40th Annual Sacramento Santa Parade

Don’t miss out on one of Sacramento’s premier holiday events! Enjoy the sight of marching bands, fancy cars, youth groups and, of course, Dinger and River Cats staff in this epic holiday parade! The event will take place Saturday, December 9th. Parade begins at 10 a.m. The parade will go around Capitol Park, and the parade starts at 14th and N streets.

West Sacramento VFW’s Children’s Christmas Party

The West Sacramento VFW Post 8762, located at 905 Drever St., West Sacramento, will be holding their Children’s Christmas Party on December 10, 2023. Children 10 years old and younger are invited to come to the VFW for some fun, crafts and games. There will be Christmas snacks and a special visit from Santa. VFW will not be taking Santa photos, but parents and guardians are welcome to. This is a free event that starts at 1 p.m. Parents and guardians of the children must stay on the premises while your child is participating. No drop-offs allowed.
