Veterans Day Parade – Come out and join the west Sacramento community in honoring our US Military Veterans at the Veterans Day Parade this Saturday, November 11, 2023. The parade route will begin at the old Westmore Oaks Elementary, location (1100 Clarendon St) through Park Blvd. and culminate at the corner of Park Blvd. and Stone Blvd. The parade will begin at 11am. Please come out, bring your flags and thank our heroes by showing your support.

West Sacramento Home Run has released their November schedule for eligible activities for the Ready, Set, Save program. Scheduled for November seven chances for the 0-4 years age group to earn money for their account. The 5-10 years age group has seven opportunities. The 11-13 years age group has three scheduled chances and the 14-18 years age group has five chances scheduled.

Yolo County Children’s Alliance are hosting a few upcoming events – YCCA will be hosting the following events. Please see if any of these events strike you as something that you would like to be a part of in some way.

Coat Drive at Jackrabbit Brewing – November 1-14. On November 14 there will be a mixer at Jackrabbit Brewing to pick up the coats. We are collecting new children's jackets for the @yccaforthekids 18th Annual Community Giveaway Day! Come by anytime we are open (hours below) to donate. Coat collection will wrap up on the 14th with a fundraiser for YCCA in the taproom. Come by on 11/14 from 5:30-8pm and meet the amazing YCCA crew. Yolo Crisis Nursery and Yolo County Children’s Alliance Fundraiser at Streets of London – Thursday, November 16, 2023 5:30-7:30 pm Rod Stinson Band Trio performing live the help kids thrive. Streets of London, located at 2200 Lake Washington Blvd, West Sacramento. Each ticket raises funds for local kids. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

YCCA Annual Community Giveaway Day – YCCA’s 18th annual community giveaway day will be held on November 18, 2023 from 8:00am – 12:00 pm at River City High School. (Please note the location change!) Free for Yolo County families. Families can expect to receive Thanksgiving holiday meal kits, blankets, and coats for the kiddos! No pre-registration is needed.
